Introducing the Jeanne Sauvé—QES Mentorship Program by the RHF

The Rideau Hall Foundation is pleased to announce the launch of the Jeanne Sauvé—QES Mentorship Program, a new initiative helping Queen Elizabeth Scholars (QES) alumni unlock their leadership potential and enhance their professional growth.

Launched as a pilot in March 2025, the program connects QES alumni with experienced mentors from a variety of sectors. The goal is to foster professional growth, build networks, and address pressing challenges facing both Canada and the global community.

How it works:

  • Nine-month commitment, with mentors and mentees meeting virtually at least six times.
  • Focused on career development, leadership, and applied learning.
  • Mentees may propose a project that builds on their QES experience or furthers their professional goals. Selected projects are eligible for up to $7,500 in funding.
  • Designed to be meaningful for both mentors and mentees—emphasizing collaboration, growth, and real-world impact.

The first round of mentors and mentees has been selected. Join QES Connect to find out about the next cohort applications opening later this year.

The Right Honourable Jeanne Sauvé was the 23rd Governor General of Canada, and the first woman to hold the vice-regal office. Madame Sauvé was a champion for youth and established the Jeanne Sauvé Foundation in order to provide young Canadians with international leadership experiences. The RHF is grateful for the support of the Jeanne Sauvé Foundation in helping to create this mentorship program.

Meet the Current Cohort:

We’re proud to introduce the first group of mentors and mentees participating in the RHF’s Jeanne Sauvé—QES Mentorship Program. This inaugural cohort brings together 9 pairs of talented QES alumni and experienced mentors, each committed to growth, collaboration, and impact.
