Two UVic programs each awarded $500,000 for Diamond Jubilee scholarships

University of Victoria students will benefit from a new scholarship program to help shape the next generation of global leaders. The Centre for Asia-Pacific Initiatives and the Co-operative Education Program and Career Services have both received funding from the Canadian Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Scholarship program.

The Community Foundations of Canada (CFC), the Rideau Hall Foundation (RHF) and the Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada (AUCC) announced Monday that the University of Winnipeg has been awarded a highly competitive grant of $825,000 to establish a scholarship program designed to develop global citizens through enriched academic, professional, and cross-cultural experiences.

The call for proposals is now open. The deadline for submission of proposals: Monday, November 24, 2014 at 11:59 p.m. EST.

We are pleased to announce the call for proposals for the Canadian Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Scholarships program which will help develop the next generation of innovative leaders and community builders, both locally and globally.

AUCC will accept a maximum of two project proposals per member institution. Please download and save the following documents.

Universities: Please read the instructions in the application forms and guidelines carefully.  If you have any questions, please send them by email to qescholars@aucc.ca.  AUCC will respond to all questions until November 17th at 11:59 p.m. EST and will share all responses in our FAQ section. The FAQ section will be updated on a weekly basis. For more information and details please visit the AUCC website.
